Watercolor Artist Daniela Werneck at WASH in Houston
Watercolor Art Society – Houston
Award wining watercolor artist, Daniela Werneck, is a Brazilian artist based in Katy, Texas, whom I have the pleasure to call a friend.
Daniela has been painting watercolors since she was a child and her work evolved throughout the years, becoming every day a truly work of art. As she refined her eye in art her hands steadly evolved as well, bringing her watercolors to a greater level.
Most of her work has been commissioned portraiture, until recently, when she decided to bring forth her experience painting portraits with her artistic view of people.
As she paints mostly her own children for her personal projects, she has had the chance to sharpen her interpretations of childhood and incorporated all the behavior of her own kids into her new series called ‘Blue Mood’.
‘Blue Mood’ is the capture, from the perspective of an observant mother, of the quietness and boredom of her kids during times when tedious moments slow them down in idleness.
Being a mother of two boys of ages 9 and 12, Daniela payed close attention to the growth gap between the two and the joys of being so different from each other but yet so similar when it comes to entertaining each other.
At the present moment, you can find Daniela’s work at Watercolor & Art Society of Houston, or WASH.
Daniela is also a member of the Texas Watercolor Society and here’s more of her ‘Blue Mood’ Series! Enjoy it!
